But if you really take this approach of just killing em, where do you draw the line? A murder, maybe. A thief? Someone receiving a traffic ticket? Someone walking against a wait sign? Someone found in contempt of court?
About keeping insane folks incarcerated for life, Truly, many, maybe even most to one degree or another are incarcerated for life. If they have no family and friends to care for them, an endless cycle between incarceration and living on the street follows. What if, by providing meds someone would live a normal life. Is this too much of a burden for society to bear? The cost is about the same as just keeping someone in jail. One way you have a perpetual welfare recipient, the other way you give something and get something back. I'll take trade over outright endless support any day. About Manson: There was a trend in some forms of medicine up to a few years ago to subject someone to lobotomy, either physical or drug induced. Would this be acceptable treatment for Manson or someone who performed similar series of....................
