I tried to get my wife a job, but then we had the twins.

Instead, I squirrel away my lunch money, and let it accumulate in a secret hiding place in my briefcase.

She budgets me $50 / week for lunch, and if I'm careful, I can stash $10-$20 / week.

Additionaly, I always ask for cash for my birthday, father's day, and X-mas.

This is the way I fund these purchases.

Muhahahaha.

Up here in the misty NW, water absorbent mats just don't make any sense whatsoever. I currently have some el-cheapo one-size-fits-all versions in the S124, but I'd love to find vehicle specific versions like in the wife's Passat.
Those rubber mats are sold by the dealer. I think they call them winter mats.

They are cut out to the exact shape of the floor, for the front and the rear. The fit and finish is perfect.

I just went all-out and bought the cupholder. Do you think it would work with my 87 300E? My kid may want to buy one for her car.

I'm hijacking my own thread here: What responsibility do you give your kids with regards to car usage? I'm starting-out with the kid having zero responsibility and me having total control. My goal is to slowly give her more responsibility and control as she shows increasing ability and interest.

I see no reason why it wouldn't fit in the earlier style W124 door panel.

I have many more pics on my AOL album that aren't stored on my laptop's hard drive.

Gimme your e-mail address and I'll send you a link to all the pics in my Mercedes AOL album.

Have you looked at the Weather Tech mats (www.mats.com)? I've gotten them for my B4 Passat and for an old 525i, and they fit perfectly both times.
