The better plan is to move it up and take those terror planning bad guys like surprise, like GWB did with the turn over of running Iraq to the present government. It worked last time, but I doubt the terroristas will fall for a two day change in plan. I think it should be announced much sooner. Jim

Well, if he sticks with the Iraq plan, then we may have to go thru a period of martial law until we are ready for democracy. I'm sure this is the start of that. I can hardly wait for democracy.

Politics aside, to delay an election is tantamount to suspending democracy. I don't care if its for a day or a year, it still stinks.

I hate to say it ...but I wouldn't be suprised if they were actually hoping for an attack.

This would be something that would lead to violence. It is a stupid idea. If they moved it, and the terrorists attacked, would they then move it again, ad infinitum? Wouldn't this motivate our internel terrorists, who might not want to have an election for other reasons, to bomb as well?

Personally, I'm willing to be searched, photographed or what ever else I have to do to get on a plane or into a public building, and I am willing that we institute some kind of national ID card system, something I was totally against in the past, and I am fine with so called "ethnic profiling" of recent immigrants, police checkpoints on the road are ok with me too, and I don't care if we post soldiers at the airports or on the border. But there is a point in here somewhere where they are going to cross a line that makes us distinctly American. This one looks like that to me.

Your darn right, and a million conspiracy theories. An explosive mix. This whole thing looks like its going more and more down the road of pre-war Germany. Just another reason to kick this bunch out of office, before its too late.

How do you get out of bed every morning with such a dark view of this country? I'd move to Canada if I hated it here so much. Or at least Montana:p

Postponing elections is a real sunny, optimistic idea. Right. Got it. Go pour yourself a nice glass of Koolaid, and get back to me.

Actually, these are not the sunniest and most optomistic times America has enjoyed. Given the tough times, we need good leadership. We don't have it now and the sooner we get these guys out the better. Jim

No, it's not sunny all over. But the "admistration" ain't the whole problem. Or even half of it. If you all think everything will come up roses by replacing the pres, you all need a reality check. The leadership is nothing more than a reflection of the nation. So how ya'll gonna fix that?

The leadership reflects the voters who won the election. They were wrong. We get a chance to fix that every four years.
