My Mityvac pneumatic extractor came with several stout/firm hoses.

The issue I have is that if you accidentally insert the hose too far on a hot (operating premature) engine, they can snag.

P0400 is a general 'hey there's something wrong with the transmission code'.

Factory scan tools, or something like an Autel, Verus, Autologic, or the like, will get the more specific code.

I was suspecting the PCV. I don't anticipate a leaky injector because it doesn't smell like diesel in the garage, but it's worth looking into.

Update:

Cap and rotor look really bad. Cap has cracks, corrosion, and the center is burned pretty bad. I'm going to pick up a cap and rotor and work from there.
