On my 83 CD I have a open black vacuum line under left dash, the other end goes into a Y at the vac. box on the I.P. I have been told this line is a vent but it "vents" a lot.
It produces vacuum in relation to rpm just like a tach. Is this supposed to be open? I have pluged it and not noticed any change. Thanks, Jerry B |

I believe the black vacuum line under the dash is supposed to be unplugged. It is a vent, and since it does have vacuum to it, it is inside the cabin to pull in fresh, uncontaminated air.
