I could'nt be arsed the take the fuel distributer off so I just put my finger as far down inside the throttle body as I could and I pulled out a thick disposit of damp soot from near the bottom, the upper areas were wiped round and I had a look at the butterfly which is right at the bottom and can only be reached with say a toothbrush, which is what I'll use tomorrow along with some carb cleaner and the vacume cleaner to suck out any loose debris.
After I did the initial cleanout on Monday the difference is huge. No more poor cold starts, cleaner throttle response and good steady idle.
A transformation for free!
