MVP Topsider where to buy?

Anyone happen to know of any shops in the SF Bay Area where I could buy one of these? Don't want to buy online if I can find one locally.

Thanks

Any marine (as in boating, not armed forces) store will carry this one. I'm on the East coast and I've seen it in 4 different chains for marine equipment stores. Seems that boaters have been using topsiders for years. It is about $39 which is about 3/4 of the cost of the dealer oil change. I changed my oil 11 times last year (28,000 miles with 230,300 miles overall).

I got mine at West Marine here in Sacramento. They have many stores in the Bay area. See www.westmarine.com

My homemade topsider works fine

I use a 5 gallon plastic bucket and polyethylene tubing (3/8" OD, I think) hooked up to my garage vacuum cleaner. It works great, and has no problem sucking the 15W-50 out of my 1995 E420.

$4 for the bucket, $5 for the tubing, and I used an old metal trash can as an insert to keep the plastic bucket from collapsing under vacuum. ABout 15 minutes is all it takes.

I love not having to remove the lower cover for every oil change - what a pain. It gets every drop out of there too.

I like my homemade version better than the topsider because I have a bout a 4-1/2 gallon capacity. Now I can get 2 oil changes in before I have to empty at the recycling station.

If you want to suck oil, I don't think you want a Topsider, but a MityVac. I've had both. The MityVac is far far far superior.

I've used both the MityVac and the Liquivac. The Mity Vac is definitely a superior product and worth the extra cost in my opinion.
