Howdy,
On a 94 600 SL Ihave a actuator problem took the covers off and found the wiring had turned to dust. I cut open the rest of the loom and found it was all dust!!! My question has anybody tried to fix this, I cannot get the connector apart so I can make new wiring. Help George at Sandera's Auto Works |

Your best bet is to replace the entire harness, have you priced them?
i replaced one a few months back, i don't remember but i don't think they were that expensive. you will save a lot of headache if you do. if you want send me you vin and i will see what connectors are available from mercedes. when the sell connectors they usuall come with about 20 feet of additional wire, more than enough to replace damaged areas. send me an email with the vin if you want and i will check. asr wiring
Hi and thanks for the reply,
The Vin#WDBFA76E3RF088893. Question the loom in question is the one that is part of the Actuator (sodered to a curcuit board inside) are we talking about the same wiring loom? If so that would be great, both sides have this problem but the passenger side still operates. Thanks for any help George |

I also am keenly interested in any solutions to this--have the same problem. ETA's are $2500+ EACH.
