Removing Rear Muffler on 300E: I did it

I just thought I'd post my opinion on this.

I went to a muffler shop and got the guy to remove the rear muffler on my 300E, but leave the middle one in place. He fabricated a pipe, and welded some tips on. I tingled when they started it up.

I love the sound. It's not too loud, but its not quiet. It rumbles like a v8 at idle (friends have asked me if my car was a v8), but purrs when the rpm's rise. And at highway speed, the road noise drones out the exhaust. I still listen to my radio and can enjoy a quiet ride with the windows up.

Anyone looking for a louder car, but hate the buzzy tingy sound of those 4 cylinder "race" mufflers, this is what I would recommend.
