I recently started hearing a squeaking noise when I steer the car from side to side. Only if I turn from one extreme to the other, and not when I am turning slightly. Does anyone know what’s wrong? I have heard it has to do with the steering rack, a part that wears easily because it’s made of rubber. about $200 fix parts & labor. Any opinions or past experience would help Thanks Tony ------------------ Tony Malgapo 91 MB 300CE 89 Porsche 911 Cabriolet 84 Porsche 944 92 VW Corrado VR6 SLC 87 Audi 4000S |

Start with the basics. Check the steering fluid level. Change the fluid level and the filter. Check for leaky hoses.
Good luck! ------------------ J.H. '86 300E |
