Oh dear god someone please help

Allright, as you know my tranny has been shifting really rough. I thought it might be a good time to change all the vacuum connectors, the vacuum modulator, the transmission fluid and filter. At first, all that didn't seem to make a difference at all. It did shift a little smoother without the clunk into 2nd and then into 3rd, but it still dragged into 4th gear.

Then I did some work on the car today. I changed a bunch of stuff, nothing in any relation to the transmission. Engine shocks, valve cover gasket, stuff of that nature. Then I drove it to my friends house. At first it seemed like normal, no better no worse. But then it sloowly got worse. Now the car won't go into 1st at all. Then, even when flooring it, it'll shift from 2nd into 3rd at under 2000 rpm, and quickly after that it'll slooooowly drag into 4th. Sometimes really slipping badly.

I accidentally cracked one of the Diesel return lines, so there was Diesel leaking out towards the back of the engine, but I fixed that. Still the same. I checked the vacuum connections. I then tightened the vacuum modulator to make it shift harder, it made no difference. I don't know what else to do. I gotta drive this car every day. Please help.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.
