190E 2.6 shuts off when it gets hot

I have a 1992 190E 2.6 that stops running after about 45 minutes. I've had it tuned up, changed fuel pump, and overload protection relay but it still shuts off. It starts back up after the car cools off, any suggestions on what to check next?

Can you determine whether it is from loss of fuel or ignition? They would really help in pointing to a particular area.

Q: When were the cap and rotor replaced last?

as hassman indicated...
Look at the cap and rotor. I recently found out the hard way how fast these things eat caps and rotors

A new cap and rotor was put on when the car was tuned up about 6 mos ago.

I can't tell if it's from a loss of fuel or ignition, any suggestions on how to tell?

When you turn the key to the on position you should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds and then shut off, (fuel pump is located at rear, near the diff, on the right hand side) get familiar with the pump noise. As soon as car shuts down, turn the key off and then back to the on position and listen for fuel pump noise, you may need a buddy to assist you. Does it sound the same or does it sound at all???
If it sounds the same you can eliminate any power loss that maybe happening. If it sounds different or doesn't sound at all, then you need to start checking connections, relays and grounds.

BTW, fuel pump relay is located behind primary fire wall on passenger side. You will need to remove from plug and then pry off alloy housing and go over solder joints.
