SP Port of W210

Mercedes states in several docs that to properly bleed/flush the brake fluid on an ASR-equipped car, it is advised to bleed out fluid in the ASR module also using a port marked as SP on the control module. I looked up and down the control module on my 2002 E430 4-Matic and cant find an SP port. Did they eliminated that after a while ?

Thx,

Oleh

This is an old thread, for which Oleh didn't get a reply

I have the same question, except relating to our 98 E320. This car has ABS/BAS/ASR. I have read in the maintenance manual for earlier cars that the ASR should be bled via the SP port. But there does not appear to be an SP port on the ABS/ASR module.

Can anyone lead me to the proper method of bleeding the brake system after removing the ABS pump and or the Master cylinder?

In past I have flushed the brakes using a pressure bleeder, but want to be sure that will work when I exchange the ABS pump module.

I installed a new ABS pump on my 98 E320, and there is no bleed port. On earlier cars equipped with ABS, there was apparently a port that needed to be bled.
