1991 w124 fault code 13

My check engine light is lit and I get 13 flashes from the DTC LED. I just finished replacing the front timing cover and may have damaged the wire to the sensor that monitors the front crank pulley. I searched the forum and it looks like this may be the cam position sensor. I do not think this car has a cam sensor (1991 300E 2.6). The engine seems to run OK. I tried to reset the check engine light and it came back on. Do I have a bad sensor wire? What is fault code 13?
