93 190e -Front end rumble coming to a stop
As previously posted, I just purchased a 93 190e 2.6 with 146k miles that was dealer maintained (all books and records). It does have ABS.
I have noticed occassionally a front-end rumble towards the end of braking. I am not talking about severe hard braking. It doesn't do it under light braking. I have not noticed the sound while corning. I checked and adjusted the front wheel bearings which were loose. There is evidence of good maintenance in that the grease looked fresh and was that bright green color the dealerships are using. Question: Is this rumbling an early indcation of needing to to wheel bearings? Thanks, Haasman
