1985 SEL Front Noise

I have a 1985 MB 500 SEL gray mkt vehicle.

115,000 miles
Runs great but front sounds like it is falling out especially when I hit the smallest bump.

Shocks are new..

How do I check for ball joints and any other suggestions??
