1985 SEL Front Noise
I have a 1985 MB 500 SEL gray mkt vehicle.
115,000 miles Runs great but front sounds like it is falling out especially when I hit the smallest bump. Shocks are new.. How do I check for ball joints and any other suggestions?? Thanks John

Jack up each side of the front from the jack points of the car. With the wheel on check for play, move the wheel back and forth and up and down. Put your palm on the top part of the tire and the bottom part of the tire, apply pressure to the top and bottom alternatly, this will tell you if there is any play in the ball joint, left and right will tell you if any play in the steering linkage.
