Backrest tilt dies on a 1995 S320
Im not quite sure whats wrong but my backrest(driver side) is stuck on a tilted slant position. _/
When i try to tilt it to the normal driving position, it doesnt move and i hear a gear slipping noise. I belive this is mechanical but i dont know how to get to the gears to fix it or just manually set it to driving position. Its rather hard to drive without a back rest. Does anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? Mucho Thanks. |

If I'm right, the headrest should tilt without mechanical aide.
If it's not going up or down, the connection within the seat-back may be broken. I'm not much of a mechanic, but there are some threads here on removing the seat back. I know it's a bit of a pain to do.
