Abs lite

Well I tried a new switch and still same problem, I can start car and drive w/switch closed and lite stays off I can do the same w/switch open and lite stays off, but if i put switch back in and cycle it while driving that's when it comes on. This car had the ETA'S replaced which also smoked the EGAS ecu, all that is fixed. The problem is I can only read codes and clear fot the abs/asr ecu all the others i can get data and see the brake lite switch working. Any ideas thanks
