trans questions
i'm so glad i found this forum. i have answered many questions by reading old posts. i have a question about the transmission in my 91 190 2.6. it seems to spend no time at all in 3rd gear. i know they start in 2nd and the ratio for 4th is rather low (which freaked me out at first). but it seems to almost bypass 3rd. i can shift manually and 3rd is fine, just seems like it should shift more evenly. is this a vacuum mod problem, an adjustment problem or just normal?

Probably not much involved with modulator. More likely a control pressure cable adjustment. Otherwise its an internal problem.

Do the 190's start off in 2nd gear? I have to push the gas almost to the floor to get the car moving...then it takes off like a rocket.
