5 years....seem about right ?

Well, had to bite the bullet today.
Car would not start, replaced battery, everything back to normal.
Oddly enough, this is exactly 5 years ( plus 9 days, but who's counting ), since the car was delivered new.

Strangest part about it.......it never gave ANY warning in advance.

You did well.

Mine actually gave me fair warning around a month or so before giving up the ghost.

The OEMs (on the W163 and the R129) lasted around six years before dying. The W124 is the daily driver, and it usually eats a battery every three years.
