98 e320 wagon 85k miles V-6. After driving several miles including highway, engine stalls while waiting at stop light. Cranks but wont restart until resting at least 10 minutes. Can drive another 2- miles then stalls again, etc. No check engine light and no codes. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Common problem on the V-6 engines, try search on crankshaft position sensor.

Same problem with my E320. Replaced crankshaft position sensor at about 60K miles and problem disappeared.

I have been experiencing the same issue. When I called to get the part, the guy asked "which sensor, front of back." Does anybody know how to check which sensor it is?

Just had my Crank Shaft Sensor replaced and went away.

The crankshaft position sensor on the 112 and 113 engines is located on the backside of the engine. Hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. Sort of a pain in the butt to get to on some cars, but with a little patience you can do it.
