1987 260E Sunroof failure

Hello,

While attempting to close my sunroof, the cable broke leaving me unable to close the roof.

Any suggestions for fixing the problem? I have tried to manually turn the motor in the trunk but this did not help.

Where can I find directions to repair this problem?
