If it were me, I would at least oil up the bearings of the used one and then hook it to bat power before install.
..preferably with an amp meter in series .. looking for no more than 25A if you do not have an amp meter , run it for a few min and see if it get hot.. if too hot, it is drawing high Amperage.. meter would be best.. |

Got it in this AM. Put some WD-40 on the bearings hoping it might penetrate. Works great, current draw is not excessive. Thanks to all who contributed.
FYI, I got the used blower assy. from Mike at: EURASIAN FOREIGN AUTO PARTS http://www.eur-asian.com 3244 So Platte River Drive Englewood, CO. 80110 1-800-944-3215 303-922-8396 He tested it before he sent it out. The price was $10 less than any other quote I got and included the cost of shipping! $65 total. I had other quotes starting from $75 all the way up to over $100, without shipping. It took about a week to get here via DHL. I suppose they could ship it faster for a price but I didn't ask since I wasn't in a hurry.
