A/c is less cold from left-center vent?
Hope someone has some insight on this.
With the A/c system set to low for both left (driver's side) and right, the center left vent is blowing 68degF and the center right is blowing 59degF. Ambient temperature of 80degF. I ran all the tests using push button controller (e.g., error code test, live/actual values test, and individual flap test). The flap test failed for the "Right center outlet opened, cold air". In other words, the vent did not open when the test told it to. Is this enough information to diagnose the problem? If so, I need help diagnosing. Thanks. (1997 E300D)

I need to stay on top of this because it's hot in Mobile, AL and I need all the cooling available from the A/C.
As seen in previous post on this thread, I suspect the Right diverter flap has malfunctioned. I need to find this module so I can tinker with it (with a Mity-vac). Does anyone know where I can access this Right diverter flap to hook-up a Mity-Vac? I read earlier post (for mid to late 80's model cars) that say a vacuum manifold can be accessed by removing the glove box. Does this hold true for my car ('97 E300D) Any info. is appreciated. Thanks again.
