S-500 serpintine belt

I'm sure this is covered somewhere but....I looked through 17 pages of post and cant fint it. !995 S-500 belt replaced. It is not the old rod and nut type like on my old 300 ce and from leasons learned on that tens.(like sripping the rod) I am not going to start prying things without knowing what I,m doing. y. Thanks for any advice, Voz1

Don't forget to make a diagram of your belt routing before removal.

Poly V-belt removed. See: Drive Belt\Service and Repair
Overview


End cover (6) take off, fit on.
2nd version: unscrew bolt (5), screw on Tighten to: 25 Nm.
3rd version: unscrew nut (5a), screw on. Tighten to: 25 Nm.
Remove tensioning pulley (3), install.
Unscrew bolts (11) and (12), screw on Tighten to: 21 Nm.
Remove tensioning device (1) with sleeve (2), install.

Preparation


Open hood. raise to vertical position.
Overview


Model 124: remove fan shroud, install.
Models 129 and 140: take off fan shroud ring, place over fan, fit on.
2nd version: swivel hexagon head (3) an tensioning arm (2) counter-clockwise with wrench (WAF 17).
3rd version: swivel Torx (E10) in tensioning pulley counter-clockwise.
All models: take off poly V-belt (11).
Examine belt pulley surfaces for signs of damage and dirt, replace if necessary (e. g. worn bearing points of tensioning device, dents in belt pulleys etc.).
Install Poly V-belt (11), refer to Poly Drive Belt Routing. See: Diagrams
CAUTION: Do not use belt wax or similar products.

. . owners manual, you can find a drawing showing the proper position of the v-belt.

Russell's info should make the job easy. . . but it's a little scary if you have never done it.

it was in the document i sent to him,but here it is for others who may need it for the job, i suggest those who don't have it print it and save it with your records.
