Difference bet. codes 5 & 17?
I made an LED gadget per instructions on here and got the check engine codes, which raises a further question. (My car is a 1991 190e 2.6.)
Code 5 is "Oxygen Sensor" Code 17 is "Oxygen Sensor Signal" What is the difference? Will replacing the O2 sensor fix both? Thanks. MDB |

The ECU is not seeing a sig, so before you go replacing anything, lift the passenger side rug and see if the 02 sensors feed wires are unplugged or broken.. if not , then test the sensor from that connection point.. [Archieves . 02 sensor test]
