Where to buy ignition tumbler?

Wife called and told me that the key won't turn in the 1991 300E. Finally got it to turn and drove it home. It acted up again this morning. Thanks to this forum, I found the information and took out the ignition tumbler ASAP.

Now I need to get a new ignition tumbler back in there. What are my options? I know I can order a new one with one key from the dealer. Are there other options? I do not mind using separate keys for the doors and ignition.

TIA.

I guess you could look at salvage yard as a third. Dealer will usually give you a "temp" cylinder until your exact keyed will arrive. If you don't mind a different key and want it quicker and cheaper then Fastlane.

I paid $80 including sales tax for a new ignition lock cylinder with a key. It's preferable to get the new cylinder keyed like the original so you don't have to fool around with 2 separate keys. Call Caliber Motors at 1-800-252-6877 for a price. You will probably have to fax them a copy of the registration card before they will order it for you.
