83 300TDT 123. Rear suspension uneven..
It think most folks avoid self leveling suspension questions like bad milk, so I really did try and search this one out, but was unable to find an answer to my question, so i appreciate any insight.
I just rebuilt the leveling valve on my 83 300TDT. Before rebuild the car sat 23.5" on the left side (measuring from the driveway to the top of the fender opening), and 24.5" on the right. After rebuilding the valve and adjusting it to where the car sat R/side 25" left 24.5. I shut off the car and half an hour later it's at 24 on the left and 24 3/4 right.
I'm guessing that there may be a small leak somewhere ( I say small because I haven't noticed any hydrolic fluid dripping), or it could be due to inproper bleeding of the system. My main question is, what would cause it to set higher on one side that the other, or lower, depending on your point of view.
I see no leakage around the shocks, or anywhere for that matter. I'm willing to bet the rear shocks and accumulators are stock, the car has 344k on it.
Thanks for feedback...
