The 6th cylinder in my '86 300 E does not fire properly. I have been chaning the plug on that one regularly to keep it going. This time though, my ignition wire has also been compromised. Unfortunately, I cannot get hold of just one cable. I have by the entire set and at present is not feasible for me.
I was wondering if anyone could help me locate a cable (the longest of the six). I'm looking to buy a whole set of the longer cables for future use. Thanks guys.

Go to your local independent shop. They likely have a spool of ignition wire and can replace the proper length of the No. 6 spark plug wire while reusing your connectors.

Tried that approach. The shops can only get the set of six, whereas I only need the sixth one. I need to replace the connector as well. Any recommendation for places that I can go to in the NYC area?

Have you tried Phil at mercedes.com? As backup, I purchased about 2 yards of the MB quality cable and some spare boots and connectors from him. As you know, assembly is as simple as threading the connectors on the ends of the wire.

Have you tried your local MB dealership? I bought mine at the dealership - bulk wire, connector. They even sliced the wire and installed the connector for free.
