Hello,
I have purchased a pair of Euro headlights for my 89 300e. The headlights have 5 pins in them, and the car has a 4 prong connector. I have searched throughout the forum for the proper wiring but came up empty handed. I have called my local Mercedes Benz dealer and they do not have a female 6 prong adapter for the headlights. Is there any other way i can wire the headlights. Can anyone explain how to make the proper connections from the 4 prong adapter to the 5 pins in the headlights??

Thank you

Do you know anyone who takes the Star magazine? This is the MB Car Club magazine. There was an article several months back on changing over to Euro lights on the 124 car.

If all else fails, use a search engine to find the MB Car Club of America, contact them and buy a back issue, or better yet join the club to get this fine publication.

Good luck,

Try a search through the search function in the upper right. Look for posts one "euro lights" authored by "barrie". I seem to recall that barrie had answered a similar question not too long back. Barrie directed the poster to an old post of his which detailed the rewiring and pin placement.

Using my own advice (and parameters)I did the search and found this thread:

Should be all you need to know.
