Finally pulled the interior door panel today (I got the guts to pull an engine but messing with mercedes trim is terrifying!!!) I found why the fuse was blowing right away. All the bolts holding the power regulator assembly were completely loose, the whole thing was flopping around. I tightened everything up, put in lock washers.
Now I notice however that the power regulator assembly at the end of its travel cycle (window down) still flexes a little as if something isnt quite aligned. I adjusted the down window stop as best I could, but the thing still quivers a little.\ (1) Are there any adjstment procedures? (2) What should I use for lube--right now I put Vaseline over evreything.. (3) Should itflex slightly? |
