How easy is it to pull an instrument cluster on 1996 e320?

I really would like to replace a bulb in my instrument cluster on my 1996 e320. It looks like the display is fading. I was wondering how easy that would be to remove the instrument cluster.I ended up buying the cluster removal tlools from MB dealership to pull the instrument cluster.
Im concerned about speedometer cable as well as any other connections that may be attached to the instrument cluster.
Should i be concerned, with the connections or can i just take my time pulling out the cluster and replace bulbs.
Can someone a advise?

.
Thanks for your response

The speedometer is electronic in that car. It is real easy to pull, especially with the telescoping steering wheel. Just be gentle with it and don't break the instrument panel glass.

Nope, just electrical wires on the back of that cluster. There should be enough slack in the wiring to pull the cluster out a little and disconnect them.

If the car is in a warm heated garage, the cluster can usually come out without the use of the cluster hooks.
I use my fingers on the right side rounded part and give it a good pull with my fingers flat against the recessed part of the cluster then I work the left side to the point where i can get ahold of the lip.
If that fails ,I use the cluster hook.

If you have an adjustable steering wheel, put it all the way down and back (toward the driver) before you do anything else. This will give you room to remove the panel.

Either get the factory tools or make your own. For the latter, use two pieces of coat-hanger wire or similar, about six inches long, with a loop on one end for your finger, and a 1/4" (6mm) hook bent at 90 degrees at the other.

Insert these hooks beside the panel on each side. Pull alternatively (not both at once) to unclip the panel from the dashboard. It's a friction fit. Once the clips are released, pull both of the hooks gently toward you and remove the dash.

There is just enough room to move the panel toward the driver's door and invert it to get to the lamps, without disconnecting either of the connectors at the instrument panel. I'd replace all the lamps except the red ones on the multifunction indicator (odometer), which don't run very often.

DO NOT disconnect either of the connectors with the ignition switch turned on, and DO NOT turn the ignition on with either of the connectors removed.
