I believe it's time for motor mounts on my 1980 240D. I get a fairly strong vibration at cold idle. Does anyone have a procedure and a list of tools needed? Is it a normal DIY job? And how do you know if the transmission mount needs to be replaced?

Is there a way to measure the motor mounts to see if they are shot?

I tried to do a search but never really got answers to the above.

Thanks
Joe
