Angry Help Me I'm Only 16!!(starter Motor Fuse I Think)

OK i'm not gunna lie this was all my bad.. i just got a cd player in my '87 300D Turbo but in the process i managed to pull 2 wires from the ciggaret lighter out and hadnt noticed.. well my mistake of not noticing them and putting it back without fixing that mis-hap wasnt cool because the 2 wires touched and they started to spark.. "ooo *****" so yea then the cd player went off and the starter motor wont engage so i'm thinking the FUSE POPPED... but what fuse and there are a few popped as it is..i put a new one in a sport and switched some around to try to get it to start so i could just get home but no luck..WTF!! so i walked 2miles home at 5am to a very pissed off dad.. yea.. not cool.. SAVE ME!!(dont use the terms u'd use talking to a tech guy..i'm not with the lingo explain plz)

first off, always disconnect the ground on your battery when you work on electricals on these cars!
DO you have the owners manual
It should outline your fuses and the purpose of each. YOu can also look in the fuse box and see if any are toast.
Sometimes the underside of the cover has the fuses listed as well.
The fuse box is in the engine compartment.

Also this car will not start in any position but park. Did you "Abuse the shifter" while putting in your CD player? YOu could have bunged up the neutral safety switch, doubtful but possible
The other possibility could be a bad battery, that your short may have pushed over the edge, any other electrical items work>?

if you are SURE that you do not have a short and the radio is drawing too much power, try a bigger fuse. You run the risk of damage to other systems on that fuseable link. You might also try to get the radio power from another fuse circuit with a larger fuse

The key to fixing things is troubleshooting. Sooo...try disconnecting your stereo, tape off the loose wires, and see if your problem persists. Then get back to us.
