W124 Transmission mount 1991 300CE

Finally got around to getting the right tool so I could change out this mount. I recently changed out the motor mounts at 135k, and this mount was probably due too. The old mount was not squished and looked just like the new one but you tell the rubber was shot when you grabbed the mount to wiggle it. The new mount was much more firm.

Four bolts hold a bracket to the frame, 40Nm. Two bolts hold the bracket to the mount, 25Nm. One 19mm nut holds the mount to the tranny, 70Nm. This nut is the hard one to get to. You need a short slim profile 19mm box end wrench. I had to go out and get a 19mm Craftsman stubby. The mount has two nubs that point to the rear of the car. Raise the tranny at the pan with your jack and a broad piece of wood. Only need to lift it an inch or so.
