'84 500se excessive fuel pump noise

The car starts fine but when it warms up
the fuel pump starts making excessive noise
as if there is alot o pressure in the fuel pump
(witch is new) maybe gas is having a hard time
going back into the gas tank? im not sure
it would be great if someone could give me some
light thanks
