1991 190E 2.3 Litre, travelled only 88,00k's (55,000 miles).
Is there anyone that can advise what to do about a whining
differential, mainly on the over-run (trailing throttle) at 30mph and 60mph.
No excessive back lash between the pinion and crown wheel. Have tried 10% "Morays" additive to the diff oil without any improvement.
The whine spoils an otherwise perfect car.
I have been advised that this is not an uncommon problem with the 2.3 litre engine model. Any comments much appreciated.

Murray Blackwood.
New Zealand.
