Oops

We have a slight problem. There is no fuse box under the dash.

It's not under the dash.

Open the driver's door, and look at the area obscured by the door when it is closed. On the side of the dash, immediately ahead of the headlight switch.

There's a small cover that you can remove with a small screwdriver or fingernail. Under that you will find a few fuses.

i was asking him questions so i could trace the wiring from the particular light to the fuse box and see what was involved in the circuit since there is a big dihherence between early and late 210 electrical systems, it is very likely that he has burned the rear sam (signal aquisition module) if he cannot find any fuse that is burned then that is likely his problem, a very costly repair. if you give incomplete or incorrect info, it will get you the wrong information everytime guranteed. that fuse box at the dash is on the lamp control module, which on this model is the actual headlight switch.

While I agree that he could easily have an expensive problem on his hands, it's not a bad thing to check the fuses first.

i never told him not to check fuses, that is the first place anyone should start., if i had gotten the information in a timely manner yesterday eve i could have told him specifically which fuse to check and where it was located.

I don't mean to sound condescending. I'm sorry that I came across that way.

likewise, i just want to assist this member, but it can be hard when you don't have the correct info. his comment below did sound a bit condescending

"Thank Matt, how strange that you can get right to the point while others just keep asking questions but have no answers."

Indeed it did. I tried to think of an appropriate response to that one (my thoughs are the same as yours, apparantly), but came up blank, so I ignored it.

HIJACK:

You wouldn't happen to have the schematic for the N65 pulse control module used in my '96 210.020, would you? I'm about to cut into mine in a serious way.
