I want an upgraded look for my 1988 300E and my tech has suggested replacing the headlight assembly with that of the 500E and added clear cover turn signals etc etc. He said that he could do this w/a little re-wiring and it would make the car look a lot more modern. Any one done this and has it proven to be a good idea, cost effective etc?? Thanks for the help!

Trae,
Take a look at some late model 124s. They have the one piece HL cover that is on the 500E/E500. I want to put Euro HLs in mine someday. Either way it really looks great! As for cost effective? Hmmmm. I guess it depends on your perception.

Thanks for the replies, but it's not the lights really that I'll be replacing. I'll have to ask the tech again and get the exact specs on it......

I might have used the wrong terminology... dunno. I'll check on it. Thanks.
