Mercedes Mileage Badges ?
The 86 560 has 145,440 miles on it. I heard at around 155k it will qualify for the 250k kilometer badge. What exactly does it look like, and how do you get one?

Go to the MB Usa web site, print out the form. Fill it out, and take it to your local dealer - they'll verify the mileage and send it in for you.
No charge, and you get a badge to put on the grille. You can get another one at 312,000 miles - the mark that I'm waiting for as I'm about to hit 250K.

Mine didn't even verify the mileage...some gruff service guy took it and passed it on to a salesman... got the mileage badge and the certificate about 6-8 weeks later.
i thought i was going to get a lot of follow-up from the dealership about buying a new benz. nada. i guess the biggest worry is some kid prying it off my son's car at college.

I've never heard of a Mercedes or Volvo high mileage badge getting ripped off, it's the hood stars that go, and which might wind up around some guy's neck on a big chain - NOT a high mileage badge....

i had to edit my post to reflect a gruff service guy...
i couldn't afford the car if i had to take it in to them... i occasssionally get a small part from them... like a washer or lug or something... i can't afford dealer parts, either... in my neck of the woods they are the only mercedes dealership within 100 miles... so i don't feel badly for them... the parts guys are always nice.

These badges do they have mercedes part references?
Could somebody give the MB reference, my car is reaching 425 000 Km. Here in Europe hard to find them, and I like very much to show how my car has run.

I just got my 250,000 km badge for "Maxine the Wonder Benz," and was very impressed with the hand signed letter from Mercedes Benz, certificate and catalogs they included.

The form has a line for "miles personally driven (if not the original owner). For me that number is going to be pretty modest, in the range of 18,000, on a 184,000 mile car. Is it worth driving the forty miles to dealership, or are they going to turn me down?
