60K miles service?

Hello all,
What exactly is involved in the 60K miles service on a 1995 E420 with 58K miles on it? Is it basically "check this and check that" as many dealers have written in their booklets or are there some things that really need to be replaced? Is there a list of what to check and what to replace? Can one do it himself instead of taking the car to a dealer or an Indy? Are there any adjustments?
