What does this mean?
My brother bought a car, and he fixed it, and passed the state patrol, and I looked at the carfax report, and it told me that this car has a "DISMANTLED" title, what does that mean? Can anyone tell me please? Thank You!

I assume that this is similar to a salvage title. Since your state issues the title, it will also set the rules.
If my new car gets hit and has less than a certain percentage of its value left, I am required to sell it to the insurance company. They are required to sell it with a salvage title, which it will always then have (as long as it isn't washed). Ask at the DMV. |

Carfax defines it:
Dismantled Title - The vehicle sustained major damage to one or more major component parts and the cost of repairing the vehicle for safe operation exceeds its fair market value. When a Dismantled title is issued, the vehicle may be used only for parts or scrap metal. It cannot be re-titled or returned to the road.
