How to read SRS Code on a 91 300CE?

SRS light is ON for a while now.

Is there a way to read the code which is concerned, like for the check engine (either LED or with a scope)?

Thanks.

Yes, build Arthur Dalton's fault code reader (search above) and then check socket 6. If you can't find the fault code list post it here and someone will have it.

My SRS light was from the horn hub. Easy DIY but an expensive part. One of these things:

Check the easy things first, seat belts, buckles. Sometimes the voltage regulator, loose ignition tumbler. See if you notice any relationship with the light flickering and turning the steering wheel.

Socket 6 is the one to be used to read those codes: Where is it located?

Socket 6 on the 16 pin diagnostic connector which is located near the battery. The sockets should be numbered. There may be a black plastic cover over it which just pulls off.

It's apparently the same connector which I'm using to get the check engine fault code: CA model, with the switch integrated and the LED; dumb question: no ways to ge the codes on that LED?
