when replacing compressor is it also necessary to replace the drier.or is recommemed.

MB work instructions require drier replacement any time the system is opened, but we all know that not everyone follows instructions!!! Before you proceed, you should find out if you'll void the warranty on the new compressor if you choose not to replace the drier.
Why are you replacing the compressor? If it's damaged internally, you'd be crazy not to replace the drier, as well as some other parts. |

compressor still works but i was told by mercedes it was losing presure ,and thats why im asking is it necessary to replace drier but for the amount it costs im going to replace,. why chance it thanks again gentlemen.
