I was just wondering what the W stands for in all MB chassis numbers, and why is the 107 chassis, a R. Now I can guess that the R might be for roadster, but what is W for in the coupes and sedans? Also does anyone know the rhyme or reason to MB jumping from W114,W115,W116, then build a W126. They made the W123 to then be replaced by the W124, but where is the W125.
