Many things to check. Check them respectively: (Assuming no surge while acceleration)

1. Fuel pump relay
2. Fuel distributor alignment
3. EHA Valve (the black object located on the fuel distributor)
4. Spark plugs/wires
5. Ignition rotor

Most likely it's a fuel delivery issue.

The fuel dist. is adjustable by a special screw driver (I don't know what they call it in English - Alan-key maybe?) This to adjust fuel/air mixture. Must by done by a mechanic.

Does it refire immediatley after dying or does it hesitate to catch?
If you brake with 2 feet (keeping pressure on the gas) does it still stall?
Does it run rough while decellerating before dying? Does it die at the stop or while coming to it (while applying brake pressure?)
Can the car idle in park? If so, if you pump or hold the brakes, does it die?

This sounds like a possible sulfated = old battery.

The lead sulfate falls off the battery plates, builds up in the bottom, and shifts, shorting the battery plates during severe deceleration..

If the battery is over four years old = replace it.

Have a great day.

Could be a crack in the circuit board of the fuel relay. If so buy new relay or repair the crack with solder and iron. Momentum while braking can cause crack to open and relay stops sending fuel to cylinders. When stopped there is no longer momentum force to circuit board and crack closes again , electrical flow resumes and engine becomes functional once more.

Search my past posts. I have explained repair procedure a dozen times.

it just dies on severe deaccleration. it will start right up in neutral. it will also start up i can put it in reverse but when you push the gas pedal nothing, no power no rpms nothing then all of a sudden you can squell the tires in reverse when it catches "my term"
