Side Mirror Control

Can any 1 suggest how to fix this side mirror control?

Also in the 2nd pic, is that called a bolt clip, is this a special item from merc or any auto parts retailer also sells them?

Finally a broken Cruise Control swicth, is it repairable?

That 'bolt clip' is, I believe, a 'capture nut', but in the picture it looks like without the nut. The bolt would thread into a nut held by the clip, or in this case, into a threaded plate. Not sure if they are readily available retail, but they aren't special Mercedes fasteners.

It looks like someone broke off the toggle on the mirror switch. If you're really 'handy', you might be able to disassemble the switch and re-attach it, or fabricate one, but just go on EBay and pick one up for a few dollars. They're cheap, few folks looking for these.

If you broke the control stalk off, or there is internal damage, you'll need a replacement switch, which is separate from the turn signal assembly. If it's a wiring problem outside the switch, it is fixable.

I carefully super glued a side mirror switch just like yours thinking if it worked, good, if not, I would get a new one. It was 6 months ago and it is still going strong, has not broken since I glued it. Good luck, they are about $30 new, $10 on eaby

lubricating the switch "cable" ?

I too have seen switches that were glued together and so I wish you luck in your quest.
Not to highjack your thread in any way , but perhaps while fixing the switch...DO you or other members know how to lubricate (?) the mirror control cable - mine is noisy & sounds like it is struggling every time I move the switch.
TIA
