Xenon bulb still flickers and goes on and off after brand new replacement

We had a flickering bulb, so my boss and friend John paid 200 bux for a new bulb, I replaced it, with surgical gloves on never even touching the bulb, and it did not even light at first, then came on, but acted just like it did before, flickering, on, off, back to flickering on and off. The vehicle is an 97 E420.

Also, the dealer replaced the key fob batteries on both sets of keys and now they don't work or unlock the car. And before they did.

Any help with these problems would be much appreciated!!!!

Jody

Perhaps its the ballast/electronics that control the bulb, and not the bulb itself? It seems that they fail pretty often....

Move the ballast to the other side, if the fault follows it then the ballast is faulty.

Note - ballasts can be repaired. You don't have to replace it.
