I have a 1991 560SEL and a couple of days ago the A/C blower stopped working. I have looked at the fuse (aux fan?) and that looks fine and tried different settings (auto/min/max, temps, etc) and it does not work. I am assuming that its either the fan motor or some regulator that is broken.
I took it to a shop to get an opinion and even w/o looking the guy said that this is common and the "expansion valve" located somewhere above the pedals must be choked and needs to be replaced. Somehow I don't buy that. Any feedback? Cheers, Raj |
