What could cause the trunk not to unlock with the rest of the doors?

Any of the other locks sluggish?



My hatch locks and unlocks with the rest of the doors, which are all pretty quick, but the trunk itself locks and unlocks slow.

it's automatic.

Nope. Rest are fine and unlock quickly in the order that they do.

When you operate the trunk lock, do the others operate?

it's automatic.

Sounds like the vacuum line to the trunk lock is damaged or disconnected. either from the trunk lock or the vacuum pump. If not, lube the latch mechanism.

The are that goes from the bladder to the mechanism may have come unhooked.

The cover comes off by taking the plastic piece off the bottom. There are two plastic push pins on each side. I think you need to take the cover off the 3rd brake light as well. Then it pushes up toward the glass. You can see the mechanical workings of the latch with out pulling it out.
